For the past few years, I think I have consumed more than my bodyweight in chocolate, specifically of Ferrero Rocher Chocolate. To me, these delectable spherical treats offer the ultimate chocolate experience. And to be honest, I will gladly sit in a corner and gorge down a whole box of these lovely delights if given the slightest opportunity. Given my inclination for these ambrosial eats, I feel the need to impart my joy and satisfaction with other people and as such, I am writing this review today.
To start, the company Ferrero is a chocolate producer from Italy which was established back in 1946. They offer an extensive line of products targeting the sweet tooth in all of us. They market Nutella, the entire line of Kinder sweets, and of course, the product under review, Ferrero Rocher. To date, Ferrero Rocher are sold in more than a hundred countries worldwide, and as seen on their website, they are the leading single buyer of hazelnuts worldwide and purchases roughly twenty-five percent of the annual global supply. Now, the chocolates are individually enveloped in gold (which adds to the temptation) and measuring at 73 and 1/3 calories for a 12.5 gram piece.
The manner by which the Ferrero Rocher are packaged, I think, is the main selling point of this product. Visualize a transparent plastic box exposing the expensively looking chocolates swathed in gold, tempting isn’t it? I mean, who would not to get their hands into these treats? The chocolates are there in full display just waiting for someone to bring them to the counter. And this eye-catching, attention-grabbing packaging has influenced a lot of consumers to buy Ferrero Rocher. Again, just by merely looking at these treats, you can sense the delectable chocolates screaming out to be consumed.
And when you remove the gold covering, you will be greeted by the wonderful earthy scent of hazelnut. With that said, if you do not care much about hazelnut, you might want to steer clear from Ferrero Rocher. Why, you might asked, well, simply because there sits a hazelnut in the middle of a hazelnut-infused cream sheathed inside a chocolate covered wafer shell which is conveniently coated with bits of hazelnut. But for the hazelnut aficionado, Ferrero Rocher is nothing but an absolute delight.
The taste of Ferrero Rocher in my palate is one that I absolutely adore. The creamy hazelnut-infused filling is rather similar to Nutella, not to mention that each flavor appears to compliment one another and that fact makes up for an extremely pleasurable nibble.
Clearly, the Ferrero Rocher chocolate candy needs to be chewed given the presence of a whole hazelnut in the product. Admittedly, I am a pretty lazy eater so this would normally annoy me, though the enjoyment I acquire from this particular product is so grand that such fact does not really concern me the slightest.
Overall, Ferrero Rocher is a product that I am more than willing to recommend. But I have one reservation, the price. Yes, the chocolates are indeed elegantly presented, however, knowing the components of Ferrero Rocher, it is not really that expensive to produce. Nutella is rather an inexpensive product especially in Italy (where it is present everywhere). The hazelnuts are not that pricey as well.
Given these details, Ferrero Rocher is strangely quite pricey compared to similar products in the market. That said, I would still buy Ferrero Rocher regardless of the price. I love the flavor, the smoothness of the chocolate and the crunch from the wafer. I have been an avid fan and these sweets are a definite favorite of mine.
I absolutely love that chocolate
