While I was looking for oatmeal while shopping, there were so many choices that I almost did not buy any oatmeal. Fortunately, I found Quaker both on sale and I had a dollar coupon on a single box. All flavors and consistencies of Quaker oatmeal were on sale. Many times the one you do not want is the only one on sale, so I hit the jackpot.
I chose the high fiber one because of all the articles I have been reading lately about how good fiber is and because I have many health problems and take several medications. I here is my unbiased review of this product:
I added one half a cup of boiling water as the package directed, opting for this method rather than microwaving. I added a small amount of milk to the bowl and enjoyed a delicious breakfast. I am not a sugar lover, but the sweetness of the cereal was enjoyable and not too sweet. As the package states; there are ten grams of fiber in each packet. The ingredients are as follows: whole grain rolled oats, maltodextrin, sugar, natural and artificial flavors, salt, calcium carbonate, guar gum, oat flour, sucralose, niacinimide*, vitamin A palmitate, reduced iron, caramel color, pyridoxine hydrochloride*, riboflavin*, thiamin mononitrate* and folic acid*.
*One of the B vitamins
The nutrition facts are for one packet which is 45 grams and equals one serving.

It is also nice to know that Quaker High Fiber Maple & Brown Sugar Oatmeal meets the American Heart Association food criteria for saturated fat and cholesterol for healthy people over age two. I highly recommend this as a great addition to a healthier lifestyle and it really tastes great.
Out of the mixed oatmeal we buy, oatmeal and brown sugar is one of the best tasting. They finally got smarter and put fiber it it, great!
