Organic bedding is rather pricey. The high price is due to the fact that customers are purchasing products that are all natural, free of pesticides and chemicals. So, before you purchase organic bedding, or any organic products, like anything else, do a bit of research and find out if any chemicals, pesticides are used and what they are.

It is difficult to find a large line of organic bedding and linens from familiar places such as Target, and Amazon. The more known retailers have a very limited line, if any. Those who did have some organic products provided very little details.
Pottery Barn has a organic bed line. However, when the site provides product information as "Natural Pillows" that are filled with re-cycled micro-polyester, an ultrasoft fill that's derived from plastic bottles, makes you wonder. However, they also tell you that the shell is from pure, undyed organic cotton. More details on pillows, Pottery barn includes this on their website: Pottery Barn Naturals are made with organic cotton fiber that is certified to have been grown without chemicals, synthetic fertilizers or pesticides.
EcoBedroom.com is an online retailer which sells all green products including household items such as furniture, pet products, bedding and linens. The website consists of 10 websites per product line which you can get to directly from the Ecobedroom.com site easily. Customers can order online, by fax or mail.
Each product gives details as to which natural fibers are used such as: robes that are made with 100% fibers from bamboo and Tencell which is derived form eucalyptus plants. The site is rather difficult to understand their return policy, shipping costs, etc.

In order to obtain customer reviews, the customer has to select each item. After doing this several times, I was not able to find any reviews for popular items such as sheets, robes, or towels. Reviews were not available on baby items. After searching online for reviews, I found Coyuchi to be rated 5 star in most cases, and only a few 3 star ratings.
I did find this review, and found some information about organic bedding which is worth mentioning.

Coyuchi organic cotton sheets are really fantastic -- they are sustainably produced and dyed. These high thread count sheets are soft and smooth -- they have worn very well over the past year. They are very comfortable and wash well.
Choosing organic cotton is important -- it's one of the most heavily pesticided crops on the planet. The high level of irrigation used in farming means a lot of weeds and bugs -- one crop of cotton might be sprayed 30-40 times in a season. Up to 25 per cent of the world's total annual production of pesticides and 10 per cent of all herbicides produced are specifically for cotton.
According to the Coyuchi site, 1.25 pounds of chemicals are used to produce a single queen-size sheet in California. That's a lot of chemicals -- it doesn't just affect the cotton (think about what is in the sheets!) but affects the farmers, the land and the entire ecosystem. If cotton were grown organically, the use of pesticides would decrease 25% worldwide. Jenn Clark 5 star rating
